Frequently Asked QuestionsDUDS_Bliss_swirly_2

Here are a few of the questions that are often asked by clientele.  If you have any additional inquiries, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Q: How do I book a session?

A: Please use the contact page to schedule a session, or give us a call at (304) 673-7480.  Given busy schedules, we suggest trying to book your session at least a few weeks in advance.

Q: What is included in my package?

A: To better accommodate and serve you, we have recently gone to a digital package for all portrait sessions.  Your Portrait Package includes an hour long session (…sometimes longer if little ones are feeling uncooperative) for up to six people.  The session can take place either in the studio or on location (travel fees may apply).  You also have the option of two outfit changes.  Approximately four weeks after your session, you will receive a premium USB with 15 – 20 high resolution, fully edited images (accompanied by a print release) as well as a 4×6 print of each image in a beautiful presentation box.  Your package also includes an online gallery from which you can order prints using our professional lab, or download for free.

Q: What should I wear?

A: No need to stress on how to dress.  However, it’s true that some things can be more flattering than others in front of the camera.  For this reason, we created the Portrait Session Welcome Guide to help with that age old question: “What am I going to wear?!”  So no worries; you’ll look great.  And we’ll send you the welcome guide via email as soon as you book your session.

Q: What if my complexion isn’t perfect?

A: All of your finished portraits will be retouched so there’s no need to worry if you wake up with a less than perfect complexion the day of your session.

Q: Do you photograph on location or in studio?

A: We do both.  For outdoor locations, we have several areas that we can suggest, or we will travel within a 30 mile radius (after which there is a nominal fee) to a special location of your choice.

Q: I want an outdoor session, but what if it rains?

A: Mother Nature doesn’t always cooperate for portrait sessions.  If the weather is nasty, you are welcome to reschedule your appointment or we can relocate indoors for a studio session.

Q: How long will I have to wait for my finished images?

A: After your session, your online gallery will be up in approximately four weeks and you may pick up your USB, gift box with your 4×6 prints, and any other À La Carte items at your convenience.  Please note that specialty items may take a little longer.

Q: Can I purchase prints from my portrait session?
A: Absolutely!!  We strongly recommend that you print your images either through us or another reputable lab.  You can order prints from your online gallery via our professional lab, or you are welcome to print them at a location of your choice.  You will receive a limited license/print release with your USB drive.  Please note that if you decide to print your images through someone other than our lab, we cannot guarantee the quality of your prints.
Q: So, you seem expensive; why should we choose you…?
A: Photography is a rapidly growing hobby, but not everyone who owns a camera is a professional – yet (we understand first hand that everyone needs to start somewhere).  As such, we feel the following sets us apart from the “Average Joe” with a camera:

Rachel is a member of Professional Photographers of West Virginia and has been in the photography industry for over 10 years.  She has spent countless hours attending photography classes, seminars, and competitions (and ever strives to better her skills).  To put it simply, you are not just paying for mere photographic files and prints; you are investing your money in a Professional Photographer whose talent and skills are reflected in the imagery they provide.  It is the education, time spent photographing, hours and hours of editing, the cost and overhead of operating a legal WV business, and thousands of dollars in equipment that contribute to your final product.  There is actually quite a lot of work that goes into that little USB and prints that you receive.  And to be honest, we probably don’t charge enough (but that’s good news for you!)…

In addition to the quality of your images, we care a great deal about your happiness.  We pride ourselves on offering first class customer service and professionalism throughout your experience with Leigh*Leigh Photography.  It is always an honor to provide clients with priceless memories that they can hold in their hands and cherish for generations to come.

Q: I love your work, but I'm not sure I can afford it right now… Do you have a payment plan?
A: We sure do!!  We accept credit cards and if you prefer to pay by check or cash, we have a payment plan as well.  Also, you may want to keep an eye out for our holiday mini sessions which have a smaller price tag, with the same great portraiture.
